Origins, Impact, and Why It Works
The MCCG™ Framework is a compassionate, evidence-informed approach designed to support individuals through grief, loss, caregiving, and other life transitions. Developed in 2014 and formalized as part of my Master’s thesis in Mindfulness Studies, it combines mindfulness, self-compassion, emotional intelligence, and community support to help people navigate grief in a holistic and adaptive way.
Since its inception, the MCCG™ Framework has supported thousands of individuals in navigating their grief, offering tools and strategies that foster emotional resilience and well-being.
How the MCCG™ Framework Began
The MCCG™ Framework was born from both my personal experiences with grief and my professional work supporting grieving individuals. In 2014, I recognized a significant gap in grief support—traditional models focused largely on emotional responses, without addressing the broader, multifaceted nature of grief. I started applying the principles of MCCG™ for supporting grief and loss.
In 2017, as part of my Master’s thesis in Mindfulness Studies, focused on grief and loss, I officially articulated the framework’s principles and its potential for healing. Drawing on research in mindfulness and compassion, as well as insights from my work with individuals navigating grief, the MCCG™ Framework offers a comprehensive and adaptive pathway to healing.
