Welcome and Nice to Meet You

I am available to offer lectures, talks, workshops, retreats and community gatherings that are highly customizable to meet the needs of your organization or community.

A brief intro:

I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals and organizations, offering impactful and transformational learning experiences. I started GriefCircles.com in response to what I have observed about society’s responses to grief and loss and the individuals’ struggles to make meaning, find modalities for healing and reconnecting with life. My pursuits have been dedicated to understanding grief from the lens of Eastern psychology, while staying abreast of “interventions” from a Western psychopathological and humanistic points of view. Thus, I combine the two approaches of Eastern and Western (without the pathological focus) towards what is possible for resilience and growth. I am a certified integrative thanatologist (study of death and bereavement) and certified end-of-life doula/professional, and certified teacher in multiple mindfulness based programs.

I teach full time in academic graduate studies, and teach general public on a depth of related topics. I have a private practice working with individuals on their grief journeys due to bereavement, illness, approaching end-of-life, or caregiving. I’ve lived in three continents, belong to and raise a multi ethnic, diverse family. My research and work interests include all that is related to resilience, growth, grief and healing, and cultural and context sensitive learning and development. I look forward to working together with you.
